ABOUT M&Y
M & Y Latin American Music for “Martin and Yeye”) is a Spanish Latin Pop group composed of two musicians from San Antonio: Yeye (Composer/Song Writer, Vocalist and Producer) Martin (Vocalist). Together they form a duet. The group originated in San Antonio, Texas with two members located in Bexar County where they recorded their first album “Page 1”, (Page One).
The Genres that are under this category are Latin / Latin Pop, Bachata, and Urban. The years active in the music industry has been since January 2012 up-today. The Record Label is E. G. Records and the members are Martín (Pedro Aguirre) and Yeye (Efrain Lopez-Merced).

Latin America, namely the Romance-speaking countries and territories of the Americas and the Caribbean south of the United States. (Torres, 2013).
Latin American music styles, has been influential by genres such as son, rumba, salsa, merengue, tango, samba and bossa nova.During the 20th Century many styles have had a transition motivated by the music of the United States which opens possibilities to genres such as Latin pop, rock, jazz and reggaeton.

After success and months touring in Mexico, they launched their second single of the album called “Situaciones’’. In this song they collaborated with Grammy award artist by the name of “El Guero’’ who produced the song and also directed and edited the video. The film is in full colored scenes and was recorded at Bulverde City, San Antonio Metropolitan Area in the City and Texas surroundings.
The first video of the song “Te Miro” (translates to “When I look at you”) was recorded at downtown San Antonio, Texas, inside an abandoned warehouse at broadway street. The video was directed by Christopher Gomez, who also edited the video.

The first album “Page 1” by M & Y has been well-known in the local community in San Antonio, Texas and Mexico. One of the songs (“Te miro”) was chosen as theme song by E.G. Records promotions and it has been the most requested by the audience and spins on the radio at international level. Their music has been played on the radio in several cities of Mexico, such as: Piedras Negras, Nava, Rosita, Nueva Rosita, Monterrey, Monclova, Guadalajara, Distrito Federal de Mexico, Puebla, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Torreon. In San Antonio has been played across Univision radio.
In January 2013, M&Y released their first album “Page 1” produced entirely in San Antonio, Texas and recorded by the record label E. G. Records that has been the first record label. The first single was (“Te Miro ”) a percussion and bass song that begins with a narrative and then with percussion and bass guitar. This song talks about someone who admires a woman, but he has not told her what he feels; then he begin to imagine that he is speaking with her and reveals his feeling. The title line of the chorus translates to, “when I look at you, I imagine that you love me, but there is only one hope to fall in love with a man like me, honest and free of pain”. This song, as said by the music group, is a tribute they made to Hispanic and Latin people for listening and reach hearts of their audience and their folks. Also this song, has been the start point of their careers.

The scenes represent a rhetorical situation about a young couple. The first scene of the video narrates that the girlfriend is struggling with her bills while she just received an eviction notice. She has been paying medical bills for her sister who is in need of a lung transplant. She decided to do escort services, for pay her bills in full and not get evicted. The boyfriends finds out about her side activities, then he gets very unhappy and angry, but then, he also finds out the reason why it is happening. M & Y is clearly saying in this video that “No one should judge, before arriving to a conclusion’’.
Now, they are walking to be known by the audience and grow in the music industry, in which the music touches the heart of many people.

The most recent record of M&Y, called "Quiero ser yo". It has their audience replaying the song. After 9 days of it’s Launch has 8,177 views in the social network of YouTube, so it promises a lot to its audience as a musical theme. The visual production was filmed in a beautiful historic castle called Lambertmont, located at Downtown, San Antonio, Texas.
After the participation of M&Y in the Latin Grammy 2016, the duet launched their second record production called "Finura" (chic) which was announced on February 10, 2017 through facebook and also was announced by the press Zocalo.com.mx (http://www.zocalo.com.mx) which presented “Quiero ser yo” song.
